Leadership transition is challenging in the best of circumstances. While many organization hire outside expertise in conducting the search for the next executive director or CEO, it’s often not an option for smaller organizations without the staff or resources for planned succession. As a result, each year thousands of leadership transitions are managed in-house by committed and engaged boards. By following some simple rules in creating a well-structured selection and hiring process, boards can be highly effective in facilitating leadership transitions that are not only successful but also create periods of incredible activity and growth.

This webinar examines the steps that nonprofit boards can follow to design a search process that maximizes the strategic opportunities to grow and thrive that are inherent in periods of leadership change.
