The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties invites staff and board members of nonprofit organizations to attend a free training workshop titled, "Running Your Nonprofit Board in the Real World: Nuts and Bolts of Governance," presented by Susan Weinrich.

Registration and continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., presentation from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is required as seating is limited.

This presentation will examine the most frequently asked questions and issues that arise for nonprofits and their boards of directors, including, What is and isn’t a conflict of interest, board voting, whether or not to use Robert’s Rules of Order and implementing bylaws.

The presentation will also include an update to The Foundation's grantmaking process and timelines.
