Events are an important time for us to meet and get to know our organization’s supporters and constituents, and strengthen our relationships with them. We need all our people resources—board, staff and volunteers—to be our event Jedi and help us prep for the event, work the room confidently, and nurture our event attendees to be our loyal donors. In reality, however, many of us have a situation where our board members spend most of their time talking to each other, or worse yet, they are not engaged in events to begin with. This session will show you how you can mobilize your board and volunteers intentionally and strategically before, during and after the event. 

You’ll learn how to:

  • Build and nurture a committee that will raise funds
  • Engage your board in events and maximize their resources
  • Deploy your volunteers with tasks, training and built-in accountability
  • Embed the practice at your organization for years to come
