charitySTRONG had a unique opportunity to present information to Westchester nonprofit leaders and prospective board members at Volunteer New York!’s third annual Board Speed Dating Event on November 1. This session capped off the organization’s Next Gen Nonprofit Board Development Boot Camp and paired program participants, who completed nonprofit board training, with organizations interested in recruiting board members. charitySTRONG’s Executive Director, Laura Klein, provided an overview of the onBOARD and Directors U programs highlighting ways in which they could complement the Volunteer New York! session. “Directors U, charitySTRONG’s education program, has a free online course that is a great review for current board members,” Klein noted. “We also have lots of other helpful, free material on topics of interest to Executive Directors and board members.”
